Spring Fling 3 on 3 Rules

Information & Rules

Team roster minimum is 3 players; maximum is 4 players per team.
All players must wear non-marking athletic- type shoes. No black soles or street-worn shoes. (i.e., dirty-soled shoes, bare feet, socks, flip-flops, street shoes, slippers, crocs, boots, sandals, etc.).
Players may play on only one team.
Shirts- Please bring a dark set (same colour) AND a light set (same colour) for your team to wear during games.If teams have the same colour shirts or mis-matched shirts, pinnies will be used to designate team members
There is a 15 second shot clock in play. A court official will count down starting at 5 if needed.
Shooting fouls are either one or two shots based on value of shot during foul.
Six fouls per team
- Fouls 7,8 and 9 are one shot bonus Free Throws
- Fouls 10+ are 2 shot bonus FT
- A Tech is a FT and no change of possession
- UnSporting foul is two FT (no change of possession) and counts as 2 fouls toward team foul count
- 2 Unsporting fouls is a DQ. Players can also receive a straight DQ for egregious behaviour

Rules & Regulations

All games will be 12 minutes long.
One Points will be scored for each basket shot from within the 3-point arc; shots from behind the 3-point arc counting as two points.
First team to 21 wins. Team ahead at the end of regulation wins.
If the game is tied at the end of the 12 min. period, the next team to score wins.
First possession will be decided by "Rock, Paper, Scissors".
Possession:
The team being scored upon gets possession of the ball underneath the hoop. No Handle, no check. The Defence CANNOT be inside the “smile” while the ball is taken out underneath the hoop
